Verdens gader er oversvømmet med mystisk, provokerende og ofte misforstået Street Art. På Street Art 201 lærer du grundlæggende teknikker som f.eks. at lave stencils, print og wheatpaste. Holdet vil arbejde frem imod at lave en Street Art udstilling i StreetMekka efter de 10 uger.

Det koster 500,- at tilmelde sig et Mekkanine hold eller 800,- at tilmelde sig to. Betaling for et hold dækker 10 x 2 timers intensiv Street Art undervisning, materialer og fri entré alle dage til StreetMekka i holdets løbetid.

The world's streets are flooded with mysterious, provocative, and often misunderstood imagery that we call street art. While capturing the public's imagination and creating both fame and infamy for the generation of artists responsible, street art is undoubtedly the pop art of the 21st century.

Street Art 201 will focus on the styles and techniques used by some of the world's best street artists, such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Herakut and more.  The 10 week course is organized into 5 two-week lessons.  The first week in each of these lessons is a style session in which we will look at one artist, analyze their work and break down the techniques and processes that they use.  We will then use class time for practice with that technique and process.  The second week in each lesson will be a studio session where the students will have the full 2 hours to work on their own projects.  At the end of the course, we will have a student exhibition on the balcony in StreetMekka.

Recommended for ages 12 and over.
